Heartseed Wildschooling
Kindergarten & Elementary Forest School in Boulder County
We are a family-run Forest School serving Kindergarten through Early Elementary students. Our classroom has mixed ages of less than 10 students with two high-quality teachers, licensed with both a traditional CO Teaching License and Level 3 Forest School Certification. We follow Colorado Core Academic Standards fully outdoors and meet daily at our location in Boulder County. Our approach to schooling is unique. We integrate the forest school model and traditional academics fueled by emergent curriculum- all held in the container of unconditional love and support with small relationship-focused class ratios and abundant wild nature play. We meet each child right where they are, exactly as they are, recognizing and honoring each child's unique gifts as we celebrate life in all its beauty together! At Heartseed Wildingscholing, we focus on holistic education and whole child development- from counting geese flying overhead to solving conflicts with friends using non violent communication- all while being outside year round and witnessing the seasons change.
About us
Our school is a culmination of our life passions and learnings, and it is a pouring out of our hearts and love for nature back into the next generation. We feel so blessed to be able to work together as partners and celebrate in all the joy and light that our school brings to our relationship. We feel it is important for kids to experience adults model the full range Masculine and Feminine qualities, regardless of gender and we utilize the experience from our relationship coaching to bring loving presence and deep attunement to our students. We want to empower our students to feel supported, loved and held exactly as they show up and we want them to feel safe and seen, as we practice doing for each other in our relationship. Our passion is to build a family-like community that sees and supports the inherent wholeness of the child, parent and teacher all integrated with life on our beloved Mother Earth.
